Turn Up and Play

Turn Up and Play costs £30 for the whole weekend and is similar to a visitors ticket in that you don’t have an assigned desk or your own network connection, but instead you can use our provided computers to enter tournaments and play your matches on.

The provided machines are top of the range Packard Bell iPower gaming PCs or Xbox 360s and come with all of the games ready to go - you don’t need to bring any computer equipment at all. You may bring your own mouse, headset and keyboard if you wish.

To come to the event as Turn Up and Play you can either pre-book and pay online or pay on the day. We recommend that you pay online so that you can sign up to the tournaments before the event, thus ensuring your place and also to avoid delays once you arrive.

So, what can you do as TUP at i33?

Counter-Strike: Source

Counter-Strike: Source is by far the most popular tournament at the i-Series. With over 300 teams taking part in last years tournaments, the competition has been high and has in fact seen different teams take the last four titles.

At i33 we are putting up a guaranteed prize fund of €10,000 - this is a fixed prize amount and does not vary with the number of teams entered! The lucky winning team will walk away with €5,000 and free tickets to defend their title at i34 in the Summer of 2008. Second place is not to be sniffed at with a huge €2,500 prize and followed by a €1,000 prize for third place. Prizes are given all the way down to eighth place who receives €200 - enough for consolation drinks in the bar!

Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty 4 has proved to be a massive hit since it’s release last October. Hailed as the multiplayer game of the year by many, its accolades and awards are outnumbered only by the hordes of gamers frantically playing each night. Activision have teamed up with us to provide half of the gigantic €12,000 prize fund. There is everything to play for!

The first CoD4 tournament anywhere took place at i32, just one day after the games release and saw Dignitas pipping TLR to the first title.

No doubt TLR and many others will be drooling at the prospect of winning the €6,000 top prize and free entry to i34 in August.

Unreal Tournament 3

One of the highlights of each festival is the spectacle that is 1v1 FPS deathmatch. There’s nothing more adrenaline pumping than watching two gamers go at each other in the most fundamental multiplayer format there is. It’s gaming at it’s purest.

Last event saw Quake IV take to the stage, this time Unreal Tournament 3 is stealing the limelight. This competition is operating on our sliding scale prize scheme - the more players entered, the bigger the prize fund.

Xbox360

The Xbox360 area at i33 is our largest console presence ever. Thanks to Microsoft we have scores of Xbox360 pods available for free play and to use as “Turn Up and Play” in our big-money X360 tournaments:

Fifa 2008

Fifa has become something of a regular at the i-Series, featuring in a number of our previous events and thanks to EA we now have a massive £2,000 prize fund for this tournament. Gamers can enjoy this, the sport of gentlemen, without ever having to don football boots or shinpads - unless the action gets a little heated of course.

Halo 3

The fastest selling game of all time, Halo 3, is coming to the i-Series for the first time. Master Chief has bought his ticket and is set for some serious action! In an exciting deathmatch format, we’re hoping the tournament will prove as popular as the game did.

Halo 3 is one of two competitions on the Xbox 360, allowing our console gamers to get in on the tournament action. This competition is operating on our sliding scale prize scheme - the more players entered, the bigger the prize fund.
