Packard Bell Fifa ‘08 Tournament

Packard Bell are running an independent 16 person Fifa ‘08 competition to win a brand new notebook. Sign ups start at 12:00pm, and are on a first come first served basis. Matches start at 2:00pm, so make sure you have no other tournament commitments before you sign up.

While you’re there, have a go at guessing the number of eggs in the chassis for a chance to win an amazing prize! More details to follow.

Frag Dolls - First Hour

The Frag Dolls have just started their 24 hour session on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 in attempt to make an entry into the Guinness Book of Records: Gamers addition.

Tournaments Continue at 10am

From 10am this morning everything gets going here again at i33. The Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4, Battlefield 2 and Halo tournaments will continue again with the first three moving into their first double elimination stages.

This morning also sees the strategy games kick off, with Supreme Commander and C&C3 starting at 10am. Make sure you tune into the live streams for coverage of the CS:S and COD4 tournaments throughout the day, and check back later for more details on this afternoon’s finals and presentations.

Antec @ i33

Antec have lots to offer this weekend at i33. They’ve brought with them the brand new Antec 1200 Ultimate Gaming Case for its first public viewing. Also over at the Antec stand Yeti Sports games will be run with Antec prizes to be won every day for the highest scorer.

While you’re there, don’t forget to fill out a simple Questionnaire for a chance to win something from the display stand. The raffle will be held Monday morning at 10:30am.

i33 Event Schedule

Firewall Port Changes

i33 Doors Open for EAS

It’s started! The doors have opened at i33 and the seats are starting to fill up. With nearly 900 people turning up this evening, the atmosphere is already buzzing ready for a fantastic weekend here at Newbury Racecourse.

Once again Multiplay are breaking the UK record for the largest LAN party with over 1600 gamers taking part. With exhibitors like Packard Bell, Intel, Scan and EA to name but a few, and over a dozen tournaments running there is going to be loads to get involved with. The event is totally sold out but you can still come on down as a spectator and get involved in the biggest gaming event of the year so far.  

And don’t forget to keep an eye out for our special announcement coming this weekend!

The XFX-Factor

XFX will be back again on the Scan stand and are throwing down the gauntlet to all would be digital warriors to prove their worth. Competitors are to show their gaming prowess on the Scan stand and if you win then XFX will fully kit you out and give you a night out on the town at their expense - and if you’re a bloke (or a girl and that way inclined) they’ll stick the XFX models in for the ride too!
