Big Name ExhibitorsThe i-Series Interactive Exhibition is the UK’s premier games industry exhibition. Featuring the biggest names and bleeding-edge technology, the exhibition is a great place to see the latest games and technology before anyone else.

Featuring over 1000m² of floor space, the exhibition has something for our day visitors and BYOC participants alike - whatever your interests. Whether you’re into your games hardware or first-person shooters you’ll find plenty to experience and interact with. There’s competitions, tournaments, freebies and plenty more to get your hands on!

Highlights

Packard BellPackard Bell have taken the largest stand to ever come to the i-Series - occupying almost one half of the exhibition with their stand! The main attractions were of course the iPower gaming machines which powered our Turn Up and Play area - seeing hundreds of people playing over the course of the weekend.

i33 has been the most successful Turn Up and Play Packard Bell and Multiplay have ever run!

Also on the stand was FIFA 08, a pool table and plenty of hot games hardware.

IntelIntel were back and invited anyone with delusions of musical genius to their stand. If you’ve seen the movie Desperado, you’ll know where they’re coming from. Giving people the chance to blow off steam and show off your “axe skills” on PC Guitar Hero 3.If you think you’re better than that there were USB guitars and drums to play on and show off your skills.

The latest in processor technology was shown with live demonstrations of multi-track audio recording.

Intel also donated hardware to our raffle.

UbisoftUbisoft and the Frag Dolls showcased Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 in style with a marathon 24 hour non-stop session - setting a new official Guinness World Record in the process.

Sarin, Kitt and Jam were in it for the long haul and all three made it through the long, dark night and came out the other side as world record holders, to be featured in the new Gamers Edition of the Guinness World Records.

EAEA brought along the unreleased Command & Conquer 3 expansion - Kane and the latest in the FIFA range - Euro 2008.Showing off unreleased titles is one thing but EA went a step further and had plenty of demo machines set up on their ulta-stylish stand, ready for people to come along and have a play themselves.

Let’s also not forget the four prize tournaments EA sponsored, with a total of £7,000 in prize money given away in C&C:3, FIFA 2008, Crysis and Battlefield 2.

Many thanks to EA for once again supporting the LAN games scene.

CrucialCrucial showed up with a van full of empty cases and armfuls of paper, glue and all sorts of glitters, stickers and toys. Why? Case modding, primary school style!

Everyone was invited to come along and decorate one of the cases, the judges favourite winning themselves some Ballistix memory.Pig stacking was back of course and those foamy pink memory hawgs were stacked to the heavens for more prizes.

Thanks to crucial once again for bringing their special brand of fun to the event!

ScanScan and XFX ran a competition on their stand that ran the whole weekend and probably pulled some of the biggest crowds in the exhibition hall. An epic Guitar Hero 3 tournament saw some of the best players at the event go head to head in front of an eager crowd.

The winner won a night out on XFX’s dime and was kitted out with new clothes and escorted by the Scan models to a nightclub.

Check out XFXforce.se for more information and pictures of the goings on.

AquaAqua PCs stand saw the BenchTech team set a new world record for lowest CPU temperature - liquid nitrogen cooling the processor down to an incredibly low temperature and making the record attempt possible.

You can see the details over at hwbot.org where they currently hold the top spot.

Also on Aqua PC’s stand was a selection of their top specced machines and case modding gear.
